H.E.A.R.T.S. Gives Birth!

On May 28th, 2020, H.E.A.R.T.S gave birth to the newest addition of their non-profit organization brand, The LoveBug Children's Closet. Ms. Tameka Brown has established this closet in order to help the participants of H.E.A.R.T.S provide for their little ones. The goal is for teen moms and dads in crisis to be given the resources they need to meet their basic necessities to eliminate the barriers associated with being young parents. The LoveBug Children's Closet will be a one-stop shop for all young parents in need. Also, all clothes donated will be recyclable, therefore after a young parents little one grows out of their lightly used clothing item they are encouraged to donate it back, so another young parent can have more options to provide for their little ones. It is merely acts of kindness being passed on and on and on. It is the circle that keeps on giving.

However, in order for the closet to have goods for young parents the community must make donations! That's where the Drive-Thru Baby Shower comes in the picture. This event was held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 from noon -3 pm. The purpose was to have community members drive-thru and donate any items they thought would benefit a young parent and their child.

To promote the LoveBug Children's Closet and Drive-Thru Baby Shower, H.E.A.R.T.S held a contest on their social media accounts. This contest allowed their followers and anyone with a creative mind to create a logo to represent the LoveBug Children's Closet. The winner received a reward which included $100, having their logo printed on banners for the community to see during the Drive-Thru Baby Shower and to be hung up in the actual LoveBug Children's Closet facility. It also included having their logo displayed on all of H.E.A.R.T.S social media platforms. After many days of waiting for, receiving and voting on logo entries H.E.A.R.T.S found their winner in, Mary Stuart Gray (@msgdesign_). Mary, we thank you for participating in our contest and creating a great gift for our organization.
